Custom Removable Nose Options Available Custom detachable noses can be designed and fabricated for gimbals and other payloads. Contact us to request a quote.

Power Plant Options:
DA-70 with 3-Blade Carbon Prop (Installed) Includes DA-70 exhaust, custom mounting hardware and installation.   This setup is recommended for flying lighter payloads (under 10lbs) and for flight training.
DA-100L twin spark with 3-Blade Carbon Prop (Installed) Includes DA-100 exhaust, custom mounting hardware and installation.   This setup is our most common configuration. It includes the twin sparkplug and ignition modules which allow for smoother operation at lower RPM.
DA-120 with 3 – Blade Carbon Prop (Installed) Includes DA-120 exhaust, custom mounting hardware and installation.   This configuration is recommended for heavy payloads operating at high density altitudes or where extreme climb performance is desired.
Electric Osprey Conversion Kit The Electric Osprey Kit comes with Hacker Q-80 Brushless Motor, Speed Control, Mounting Hardware, Electrical Provisions and Prop (Mounts to Existing Gas Engine Mount Location).
JetCat Turbine (P-100 Installed) JetCat Turbine kit includes structural modifications to the Osprey and hardware needed to accommodate the JetCat (P-100 Turbine) as well as the engine and installation.

Other Engine Options:
Remote Starter The remote start option is a great safety feature and allows for in-air restarts in the event of engine failure.
Sullivan Generator / Starter Combo (Specify Output Requirements) Custom Generator / Starter solutions are available. Please contact us with power generation requirements.
PTO shaft (Available on DA-100 and 120) Aux. Power shaft is available on engines for auxilary power requirements.
Engine Tach Sensor (Installed) Ignition modules are available with tach sensors

Servo Options:
Premium Hitech High Voltage Programmable Servos (Installed) Most popular option. Includes high quality servos with programable end points and rates.
Standard Servos (Installed) Recommended for trainer aircraft and target drones

Fuel Tank:
100 oz Fuel Tank with Tank Mount Rail (Installed) 100 oz fuel tank comes with mounting bracket to attach to Osprey payload management rails.
200 oz Fuel Tank with Tank Mount Rail (Installed) 200 oz fuel tank comes with mounting bracket to attach to Osprey payload management rails.

Preferred Options:
Electro Magnetic Brakes Electro Magnetic Brakes provide reliable breaking performance. They are usually programmed to operate with down elevator.
Vibration Damping on Engine Vibration damping helps reduce vibration of gas engines for sensitive payloads.
Unimproved Terrain Package Large 6″ tires, stone guards and nose strut recommended for grass fields and other unimproved surfaces.

External Pods and Fuel Tanks
2 – Wing Mount Fuel Tanks (160 oz per side) Wing Mount Fuel tanks attach directly to the wing spar and provide a combined 320 oz of extra fuel for long duration flight.
1 – Belly Fuel Tank (320 oz tank) The Belly Fuel Tank attaches to the bottom of the fuselage and ties into the payload management rails that run the length of the fuselage.
2 – Wing Mount Payload Pods (4″x18″) Payload pods are available in a variety of sizes depending on experimentors needs. Custom sizes and shapeds are also availabe. Just contact us for quote.
2 – Wing Mount Payload Pods (6″ x 18″) Payload pods are available in a variety of sizes depending on experimentors needs. Custom sizes and shapeds are also availabe. Just contact us for quote.

Osprey Group 2/3 Aircraft (GAS)

The Osprey, by Unmanned Aerial Research is a rugged UAS flight test platform with a successful track record spanning over two decades with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and others. The Osprey’s gentle handling qualities, and cavernous payload volume make it the ideal test bed. The Osprey features a large hatch on the top of the aircraft as well as a track system on the floor that is ideal for securing payloads. The Osprey’s all composite airframe, sturdy landing gear and suspension system allow the Osprey to withstand the firmest of landings. Large tires, flaps, stone guards and a tall ground clearance help insure a safe landing on unimproved surfaces.

The Osprey is highly customizable with both gas and electric options available. A DA-100L with twin spark ignition and vibration isolation is available on the gas powered Ospreys. Other options include, electric start, electric generator, extended range fuel tanks, belly & wing pods, PTO shaft, electromagnetic brakes and many others.
